About

Let’s face it – you’re a busy person. What with work, family, friends – not to mention catching up on all the shows you TiVo – you have limited time to read. You want that time put to good use, reading the best, most interesting, most important literary fiction out there. Nothing wastes more time than wading halfway through a 600-page book only to find it isn’t worth reading!

That’s where I can help. I am neither a book reviewer nor a literary critic – just a book lover who has never been without a book on my bedstand since I discovered I could read The Cat in the Hat all by myself. But I am a discriminating reader with pretty good taste in books. I live by my personal philosophy – Life’s too short to read bad books!

Stop by often – or better yet, sign up to be notified of new posts by e-mail – to find out what’s out there for the well-heeled lover of literary fiction. I’ll do my best not to disappoint you!

You can contact me at jfritzsc@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!

  1. Love your new blog! It’s in my Favorites.

  2. Thanks! Yours is my very first comment!

  3. The Blog looks good! I’m impressed! I just wish you reviewed some sports books or a few of those “____ Prey” books. These books that are real literary works are too deep for me.

    • Thanks! I’m waiting for John Sanford to write “Volleyball Prey” – then I can combine the best of both worlds!

  4. I’m with ya! Just knowing how many books that are out there that I’ll never get a chance to read drives me crazy. I’m also a re-reader so I like to try to conjure up extra time to revisit my favorites now and then (which is practicaly impossible). So little time!

  5. Hi Jeanie

I can’t find an email address for you, so please forgive me intruding on your comment wall. I’d like to invite you to write about your favorite books at http://www.bookdrum.com, where you can add information, images, video, music and links to illustrate and explore the books.

Right now, we’re running a $3,000 Tournament and we’ll be offering contract work to the best entries.

    Best wishes

  6. Hi: I am responding to your request for feedback on Pro Blogger. Here is my feedback – I liked your elevator pitch so much that I clicked on the link you included and visited your blog. You can’t ask for a better elevator pitch than that! And your blog is great, too.

    Regards, John

If you are curious about what is out there in our world and how/why we should protect it, please visit my blog http://www.KindOfCurious.com

  7. John, thanks for taking the time to look at my blog for me! I appreciate your feedback and will check out Kind of Curious (I’m kind of curious already!).

  9. Hi, I love your blog. Have you considered adding “Google Friend Connect” for those of us that would like to follow your blog?

    • Janna, I’d love to have Google Friend Connect, but WordPress.com doesn’t enable plug-ins. On my sidebar, there is a way to sign up for e-mail notifications of new posts. Thanks for your kind words – I really appreciate it!

  10. I see your currently reading Diana Setterfield’s Thirteenth tale. This is a book I enjoyed , it gave me a feeling of another time and place, like a really old fashioned novel. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
