The Bookseller Magazine Announces Winner for World’s Oddest Book Title Award

Who knew? Apparently “The Diagram” prize has been awarded annually since 1978. This year’s winner is Crocheting Adventures with Hyperbolic Planes by Daina Taimina. This is apparently a serious work that combines geometry with crochet…not something I’ll be trying any time soon!

The oddest title of a book I’ve read is  A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian by Marina Lewycka (a novel – and a good one!). In fact, I bought it because the title so intrigued me.

How about you? What’s the weirdest title you’ve read?

What do you think?
